Local PL 21-25, which was signed into law on May 18 of this year, designates our office to regulate hemp in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands; to amend certain provisions of the Taulamwaar Sensible CNMI Cannabis Act of 2018 to exclude hemp from the regulation of the Cannabis Commission. We're working on the regulation but in the absence of one, any producer can apply using the federal regulation.
