The Department of Lands and Natural Resources was established by Public Law No. 10-57 which states: To establish a Board of Public Lands and fundamental policies for the management, use, and disposition of public lands and repeals and reenacts Chapter 13 of Division 2 of Title 1 of the Commonwealth Code concerning the Department of Lands and Natural Resources.

Our Divisions

Agriculture

Promoting agricultural programs, animal industry, and health and preventing the introduction and spread of plant and animal diseases, including invasive species.

division of fish and wildlife

Protecting the natural resources of the islands, the marine environment, the endangered species, and Preventing the spread of invasive species.

Land Registration and Survey

Conducting surveys of public lands and preserving and protecting land documents and maps.

Parks and Recreation

In charge of landscaping and beautification projects for all Commonwealth parks and recreation sites.
